For Whom?
This workshop is designed for complete beginners or those at the early stages of their rope journey.
If you want to start your exploration of Shibari or brush up on basic techniques this workshop is for you.

What You Will Learn
The focus of this workshop is on connection, communication, and safe rope techniques.
You’ll explore:
• Safety & Consent: Learn essential safety rules, anatomy awareness.
• Basic Knots & Ties: Simple, effective techniques to get you started without being overwhelming.
• Body Awareness & Balance: Understand movement, positioning, and body mechanics to tie and be tied comfortably.
• Leading & Following: Explore how to guide your partner and respond to their cues, creating a dynamic dialogue through rope.
• Motivation & Mindset: Discover different intentions behind tying, and reflect on what Shibari can mean for you and your partner.
• Fun from the Start: Develop your skills while enjoying the experience, focusing on creativity and connection.

– any special requirements you might have, so we can try to accomodate
– any open questions

REQUIRMENTS:
• Comfortable clothing (leggings, t-shirts, etc.)
• Minimum three ropes per participant (jute or hemp 8m, 5 – 6mm diameter). Rope can be purchased/borrowed if needed.
• Willingness to communicate your limits and experiment with your partner.
• Notebook for notes
• Optional: warm blanket for between ties.

Role Switching: Encouraged! Both riggers and models will have the chance to experience each role.
