„BOUND by Love“ is an evocative rope art project and exhibition brought to life by a dedicated group of queer, bi and lesbian women. The project aims to increase visibility for queer-feminine love & creativity in BDSM, especially bondage practices and to support queer-feminist associations in Austria.

Our first exhibition in 2023 generated 1700 Euro of proceeds which were donated to the association „Queer Base – Welcome and Support for LGBTIQ Refugees“. The organization was founded in 2015, is based in Vienna and supports LGBTIQ people who applied for asylum as a „member of a social group“ due to homophobic or transphobic persecution.

Our second exhibition in 2026 will be dedicated to support CRUCIBLE – a queer-feminist, kink- and sex-positive association and community that is irreplaceable in the viennese queer BDSM scene. 

The current exhibition takes you through a series of 3 shootings – sensual, natural, renaissance inspired group portraits.

The exhibition captures the profound beauty of intimacy and connection that can emerge in the practice of shibari/kinbaku. The images explore the span of trust, love, intimacy, surrender and artistic expression, highlighting the experience of belonging and community. The pictures invite viewers to witness the strength, vulnerability, softness and deep bonds bonds formed among women through intimate, heart-to-heart connections while tying and playing.

The vernissage at CRUCIBLE Vienna is a celebration of love, identity, and the power of connection. The vibes of the photos are brought to life even more with an evening full of Love and a Shibari/Kinbaku Performance.

For this event we are open to the public, no membership required!

Cellphone usage and taking pictures (of the artwork) is permitted for the vernissage. The performance will be recorded with no audience being recognizable.
